Nayanthara And, Other South Actors Who Made Their Bollywood Debut

Since the Baahubali sensation swept the country, many pan-Indian films have been announced and produced. From Pushpa to KGF to RRR, major blockbuster films introduced talented South Indian actors to Hindi audiences.

People adored Rashmika Mandanna as Srivali in Pushpa and Anushka Shetty in Bahubali just as much as Prabhas and Allu Arjun. These films have directors and professionals from both the Hindi and South Indian film industries working together to attain box office success.

Sridevi, Bhumika Chawla, Shriya Saran, Ileana D Cruz, Taapsee Pannu, Kajal Aggarwal, and Tamannaah Bhatia are among the many actors who have already made their Bollywood debuts and given blockbuster films. However, a few well-known female actors have yet to make their Bollywood debut. We've prepared a list of such well-known actors below.

South female actors making debut in Bollywood:

Nayanthara

Nayanthara, one of the most popular South Indian actors, will make her Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan. Atlee helmed the film, and it is set to release on September 7.

Rashmika Mandanna

Her blockbuster pan-India film Pushpa: The Rise was also released in Hindi, but she made her Bollywood debut with Goodbye, along with Amitabh Bachchan and Neena Gupta. The actor was also seen in Mission Majnu alongside Sidharth Malhotra in the spy thriller Mission Majnu. She will also star in Animal, which also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, and Bobbly Deol.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu

Samantha Ruth Prabhu had an impressive OTT debut with the series The Family Man 2. She also appeared in Shaakunthalam, a pan-Indian fantasy film. Along with that, her latest multilingual film, Kushi, just released in theatres. She'll soon be seen in a spin-off series of Citadel. According to reports, Taapsee Pannu's Outsiders Films is developing a female-centric thriller with Prabhu as the leading actor.

Shalini Pandey

She made her acting debut as Preeti in the Telugu film Arjun Reddy (2017). She made her Tamil debut in 2019 with 100% Kadhal. In May, she made her Bollywood debut in the film Jayeshbhai Jordaar, which starred Ranveer Singh as Jayeshbhai Jayesh Jordaar and featured her as Mudra, Jayesh's wife. Maharaja, a Hindi film, will be her next project.
