Legal drama Guilty Minds premiered on Amazon Prime on April 22 and fans have been smitten by Shriya Pilgaonkar's Kashaf Quaze. Pilgaonkar does stand out in the series for she is a skilled actor and her portrayal of Quaze is phenomenal.

Born to actors Supriya and Sachin Pilgaonkar, Shriya is no stranger to the entertainment industry. Pilgaonkar made debuted in the Hindi film industry opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the film Fan and quickly rose to fame. Her screen presence was appreciated for she brought with her a serene aura on-screen as any character.

Even before she debuted in Bollywood, Pilgaonkar worked in a Marathi flick titled Ekulti Ek alongside her parents. Shriya Pilgaonkar Films To Watch

Ekulti Ek

The 2013 film marked her debut in the film world. The plot revolves around an estranged father-daughter duo Swara (Shriya) and her father  (Sachin). Swara sets out to find her father who left the house to build a career for himself but has not returned. Supriya Pilgaonkar starred in this film as Nandini Deshpande, Swara's mother. Shriya went on to win the Best Female Debut award by the state of Maharashtra.

Un Plus Une

Shriya starred in a french film by Oscar-winning director Claude Lelouch, Un Plus Une, after watching her performances in Internal Affairs and Common People, with veteran actor Akarsh Kharana. In the romantic comedy, Un Plus Une, Shriya plays the role of an Indian dancer, Ayanna. This movie was first screened in 2015, at the Toronto Film Festival and shot along the ghats of Ganga in India.

The plot of the film revolves around a famous French Film Score Composer's arrival to India to compose the score for the Indian adaptation of Romeo and Juliet. His meeting with the wife of the French ambassador to India is followed by a complicated relationship.

Shriya starred alongside Shahrukh, in her Bollywood debut Fan in 2016. Fan is an action thriller movie, where a fan Gaurav Chandna's obsession with his favourite actor Aryan Khanna (both portrayed by Shah Rukh Khan), turns ugly. This movie showcased the ugly face of obsession with celebrities sometimes leading the audience to make stupid impulsive decisions.

Shriya took on the role of Neha Singh, Gaurav's girlfriend. Shriya garnered appreciation for holding her own in a male-dominated movie alongside Shahrukh Khan. Talking about the response from the audience post the movie Shriya stated, “The reaction is overwhelming. Honestly, I did not want to have any expectations because it was a small role and we had two Shah Rukhs in the film but I am so happy that everyone took notice and has acknowledged my performance.”

House Arrest

House Arrest released on Netflix on, 15 November 2019. Shriya was seen as a journalist Saira, who goes to interview Ali Fazal's character for he'd not left his house for a year. He falls for the journalist but has his own set of secrets. Helmed by Samit Basu and Shashanka Ghosh, the film received a mixed response but Fazal and Pilgaonkar were lauded for their performance.

Bhangra Paa Le

The dramedy narrates the story of relationships and the love for Bhangra in two different generations. While Sunny Kaushal stars in a double role as Kaptaan and Jaggi, Rukshar as Simi and Shriya Pilgaonkar as Nimmo take up the love interests in the current and the older generation respectively. This film marks the directorial debut of Sneha Taurani and is produced by Ronnie Screwvala. Bhangra Paa Le was released in theatres all over India on 3 January 2020. Shriya as Nimmo effortlessly takes on the role of a Punjabi woman.

Kaadan

Released as Haathi Mere Saathi in Hindi, Kaadan is a trilingual movie. Kaadan (forester) is a film that follows the relationship between man and the forest. Rana Daggubati as Bandev is the male lead and shares a special bond with the elephants in the forest which is under threat because the government decides to uproot the forest to build a township over it. This movie also includes a stellar female cast including Shriya Pilgaonkar and Zoya Hussain. Shriya Pilgaonkar plays the role of a journalist named Arundhati in the movie.
