There’s nothing more testing than having to wait for your favourite weekly series to release its new episode. South Korean dramas are known for the cliff-hanger endings and having to wait until the next episode is out can be exasperating. The latest tvN drama Shooting Stars follows the suit. Originally a television series, the show is also streaming online to a global audience.
Starring Lee Sung-Kyung and Kim Young-Dae in lead roles, the drama deals with the love story of a common person and a celebrity. Gong Tae-Sung (Young-Dae), is a top celebrity managed by an entertainment agency where Oh Han-Byul (Sung-Kyung) works as a PR Team leader.
Previously shows like Run On and others have been produced that focus on the relationship between a celebrity and a commoner. But they fizzle out because of the unequal power distribution, but not Shooting Stars. Both the leads in the show do not get treated as lesser than one and are both equally important and strong.

The ">bi-weekly drama places emphasis on those who usually have to clean up after celebrities and help them in maintaining their image. And it also humanises celebrities and makes the audience realise that their life is not as glamourous as we perceive them to be.
The two leads work together under Starforce Entertainment where one is an actor managed by the label and another one is in the managing team. Tae-Sung makes Han-Byul go through trouble in spite of her repertoire as a commendable crisis manager.
The Kdrama also features Yoon Jong Hoon, Kim Yoon Hye, Lee Jung Shin, and Park So Jin, amongst others.
The series has 16-episodes in total and each of them is at least an hour long. The drama airs every Friday and Saturday and two episodes of the show are released per week. The show streams online on Hong-Kong based OTT platform Viu. However, each of these episodes is uploaded with a lag of eight hours after an episode is aired.

The show was released on April 22, 2022, and the third episode is going to release on April 29, 2022.
