Sharron Horgan Starrer 'Together' Will Be Lockdown-Romance, First Look Out

Horgan revealed that most of her co-workers had no intention of doing a COVID drama. However, Kelly's appealing script changed their minds. The film that was shot in just ten days, was a "beautifully stressful experience" for the actors as described by Horgan herself.

Catastrophe star and co-writer Sharon Horgan is yet to appear on-screen with the Dark Materials star James McAvoy in Dennis Kelly's romance-drama Together that revolves around lockdown relationships.

The Emmy and BAFTA-winning director Stephen Daldry has directed the film that is set in the U.K. The Guy Heeley and West End produced film is to narrate the story of a husband and wife who are forced to re-evaluate themselves and their relationship because of the pandemic caused lockdown. The film is to cover the entire period from the beginning of the lockdown in March 2020 to the present day.

The film which is theatre produced by Sonia Friedman will show Horgan in the role of a charity worker who is a coordinator for all of Europe at a refugee charity. Horgan's opposite, McAvoy will play her husband who is a self-employed man who runs a boutique computing consultancy and is forced to furlough his staff and take up growing vegetables.

Amidst a lot of issues and conflicts between the couple, they share a common reason for holding on to their marriage together- their 10-year-old son.

"It’s a hilarious, heartfelt, entertaining and unconsciously funny exploration of a relationship and a couple facing real tragedy across a year we have all lived through," McAvoy said on the storyline of the film.

Kelly, mostly known for the film Utopia, describes the film as being about a couple who totally hate each other, yet have anyhow found a way of "existing together by not talking to, thinking about, noticing, communicating with or being in the same room as each other — then lockdown happens".
