"It’s kind of funny. Everybody right now is freaking out over it and we’re like, ‘Yeah, we’ve been engaged for a while,” she &feature=emb_logo">said announcing her engagement to Green Bay Packers quarterback Rodgers. This news comes three weeks after he made a surprising announcement about his fiancée during a speech at the NFL Honors.

The Big Little Lies star addressed her romance with the 37-year-old athlete in the interview and called Rodgers "A wonderful, incredible human being." The 29-year-old actor said that she "never thought I’d be engaged with somebody who threw balls for a living."

"Yes, we are engaged," Woodley told Fallon. "But for us, it's not new news, you know, so it's kind of funny. Everyone right now is freaking out over it and we're like, 'Yeah, we've been engaged for a while.' "

The actor further confirmed that they met during the coronavirus pandemic and she still has "never been to a football game" adding that "all the stadiums were closed that he was playing in. So, I have yet to go to a football game," she said admitting their "wacky" dating situation.

Rodgers also revealed on Saturday that he is engaged but did not specify her name. “2020 was definitely a crazy year filled with lots of change, growth, some amazing, memorable moments, 180 straight days of having my nose hair scraped, playing for very little fans or no stands the entire season,” he said during the NFL Honors awards in his acceptance speech for the 2020 AP Most Valuable Player. “I got engaged and I played some of the best football in my career.”
