Shah Rukh Khan, Director Atlee's 'Jawan' To Hit The Screens In 2023, Teaser Out

Shah Rukh Khan has finally dropped a teaser and name reveal for his upcoming film with filmmaker and director Atlee. The teaser revealed the film’s title as Jawan and showed fans Shah Rukh Khan’s new look for the film. Shah Rukh Khan’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment announced the film and release date for Jawan.

The ">teaser shows Shah Rukh Khan’s character covered in bandages in a hideout filled with ammo. The teaser later reveals Khan’s half-covered wounded and bloody face in a closeup.

Shah Rukh Khan described the upcoming film Jawan as “a universal story that goes beyond languages, geographies and is for all to enjoy”. He proceeded to give credit to director Atlee for “creating this unique film”. Khan said that working for the film was a “fantastic experience” as he loves action movies. Khan also added that the teaser was the “tip of the iceberg”.

Director Atlee said that “Jawan has something in it for everyone” and described that it had elements of action, emotion, and drama that was mixed together to “create a visual spectacle”.

Atlee has worked as a director and writer in films such as Raja Rani, Mersal, Bigil, and Theri and will have the same role in the upcoming film Jawan. The director has won several awards for his films. He was nominated for two Filmfare Awards South and has won the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards as the Best Dialogue Writer for the film Raja Rani.

Music Composer Anirudh surprised everyone with his tweet announcing that he will be scoring music for the "Badshah" as Khan is fondly named. Sharing the teaser he wrote, "Dreams do come true! Scoring music for the Badshah himself. Thank you and so proud of my brother Atlee; this is going to be too special for us  Here is #Jawan teaser. Please bless us all."

Jawan Release Date

Jawan will be Shah Rukh Khan’s first pan-Indian film and marks his third film to be announced in 2022. The action flick is set to release in theatres on 2 June 2023 across five languages, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
