Shabaash Mithu Release Date Revealed On Cricketer Mithali Raj's Birthday

The film Shabaash Mithu was announced in 2019 and since then the preps and shoots have taken a long time, mostly due to the challenges presented by the pandemic. However, Pannu had shared in November this year that she had finally wrapped her ambitious sports film.
While wishing the Indian women team captain and the number one ICC women's ODI player for the eighth time, Taapsee Pannu wrote, "ONE GIRL with HER CRICKET BAT has shattered world records and stereotypes. Taapsee Pannu starred Shabaash Mithu will have a theatrical release on February 4 next year.
She shared this along with the poster of the film, in which Pannu is seen as Mithali Raj in Indian cricket uniform with gloves and a cricket bat.
Raj replied to Taapsee Pannu's post by thanking her, "Thank you @Viacom18Studios for this blockbuster gift! You were born to play cricket @Taapsee, too late for a career change? #ShabaashMithu."

About the birthday girl- Mithali Raj
Mithali Raj has led the Indian Women Cricket team in two world cups--2005 and 2017. She has been playing cricket professionally for 22 years now. She had created history by becoming the first Indian batswoman to score 10,000 international runs.
In September this year, the batswoman completed 20,000 career runs. The cricketer who turns 39 this year was felicitated with the Khel Ratna Award last month, which is India's highest sporting honour. She is the first woman cricketer to have been awarded the Khel Ratna.
