On March 4, Prime Video India released the trailer for Ae Watan Mere Watan, featuring Sara Ali Khan in the lead role. The streaming service uploaded the nearly three-minute trailer to its YouTube channel.

The trailer immerses viewers in the pre-independence era, introducing 22-year-old Usha, a college student in Bombay. Driven by her desire to aid India in achieving independence, she establishes an underground radio station, which becomes instrumental in fueling the Quit India Movement. Through Usha's journey, the trailer showcases the bravery, sacrifices, and ingenuity of the nation's youth during India's struggle for freedom.

Ae Watan Mere Watan is scheduled to debut exclusively on Prime Video in India and across more than 240 countries and territories worldwide on March 21. The series will be available in Hindi, with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Earlier, Karan Johar and Sara Ali Khan shared the latest motion poster of Ae Watan Mere Watan on their individual social media accounts on November 20. Sharing the motion poster, she wrote, "Aazad aawazein, qaid nahi hoti” 🇮🇳🎙️ Presenting the motion poster of a film very very dear to my heart. A story of bravery that I believe deserves to be told- and I’m honoured to be a part of that telling."

The producer-actor duo also unveiled the motion poster during the opening ceremony of IFFI 2023. Joining them on stage, singer Sukhwinder Singh captivated the audience with a heartfelt rendition of the patriotic track Qatra Qatra. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh also shared a post about this momentous event.

Ae Watan Mere Watan is a thriller-drama inspired by true events, chronicling the courageous journey of a college girl in Bombay who evolves into a freedom fighter. In this thriller drama, Sara Ali Khan takes on the role of Usha Mehta, a prominent freedom fighter.

Directed by Kannan Iyer, the film is set against the backdrop of the pivotal Quit India Movement in 1942. It is produced by Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta, with Somen Mishra serving as the co-producer. The movie is slated for a premiere on Prime Video.
