On November 1, the actor shared a new poster for the Meghna Gulzar-directed film on his Instagram. The latest poster reveals Vicky Kaushal in the persona of Sam Manekshaw, donning a military uniform with a stern expression. In his post's caption, Vicky enthusiastically announced, "SAM IS HERE!!! Kaushal has once again donned the Indian Army uniform, this time for his upcoming role in a biographical film centred on Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, famously known as Sam Bahadur. The film's teaser provides a glimpse of Kaushal's remarkable transformation as he steps into the shoes of India's first Field Marshal, bringing to life the iconic military figure on the big screen.

Vicky Kaushal's striking resemblance to Sam Bahadur during the 1960s and 1970s is apparent in the teaser, where he is depicted delivering an inspiring speech to his fellow soldiers. It evokes memories of his iconic line, "How's the Josh?" from Aditya Dhar's film URI, and one can't help but feel that he might break into that spirited chant at any moment.

Additionally, some of Kaushal's dialogues in the teaser, particularly the one directed at then-Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, portrayed by Fatima Sana Sheikh, stand out. When Indira emphasises that a soldier's duty is to die on the battlefield, Kaushal's character counters by emphasising that a soldier's true responsibility is to eliminate the enemy's soldiers.
