Mai Trailer

The ">trailer begins with a worried mother and 47-year-old housewife, played by Tanwar, asking her daughter, “Gudiya, kya hua hai (Sweetie, what happened)? Hum sab thik kardenge (We will make everything okay).”

Tanwar’s Sheel is shown fighting for her daughter while also encountering casual stereotyping of her as an “acche ghar ki woman” which translates that she is a woman who should stay subdued.

There is a scene, wherein, Tanwar is shown interacting with a police officer, but he dismissively tells her not to get involved–not because the case is dangerous or there will be security issues, adding, “You are a woman from a well-to-do home, why are you getting yourself involved in this situation.”
