Who Is Rupali Barua? Guwahati-Based Entrepreneur Marries Actor Ashish Vidyarthi

Actor Ashish Vidyarthi, 60, married Rupali Barua, 50, in an intimate wedding in Kolkata. He was previously married to Rajoshi Barua.

Rupali Barua, a 50-year-old entrepreneur from Guwahati, Assam, has captured the attention of the town after her wedding photos with actor Ashish Vidyarthi went viral on social media. The couple got married in Kolkata and had a small, intimate celebration.

Vidyarthi who has worked in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films was recently seen in the web series Pitchers S2, Rana Naidu, Trial by Fire. He has been a part of popular films like Soldier, Ziddi, Haseena Maan Jayegi, Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai, among many others. The actor also won a National Award in 1995 for Drohkaal.

For their special day, Ashish, 60, wore a traditional Mundu, while Rupali looked radiant in a traditional Assame white and golden Mekhela Chador. The wedding ceremony took place in Kolkata and was attended by close family members and friends.

Rupali is associated with a handloom fashion store called NAMEG in Kolkata, where she shares her love for traditional textiles.

Though she is not much active on social media, she often shares videos of dancing and photos of her family members.

Rupali on marrying Ashish Vidyarthi said, “We met some time ago and decided to take it forward. But both of us wanted our wedding to be a small family affair. He is a beautiful human being and a great soul to be with.”

Vidyarthi was previously married to Rajoshi Barua, daughter of actor Shakuntala Barua. Rajoshi, who is also an actor, writer, and singer, took to her social media and shared a few quotes about the “right one” and “overthinking”. She shared two Instagram stories, which were reposts from other handles.

In one of her Instagram stories, Rajoshi shared a message emphasising the importance of being with someone who values and supports you, without causing doubt or pain. She wants her followers to remember their self-worth and prioritise their well-being.

Another message on Rajoshi's Instagram suggests that after being strong for a long time, it is now time to embrace blessings and positivity. She believes that everyone deserves to receive blessings and happiness in their lives.

Rajoshi Barua and Vidyarthi have a son together named Arth.
