The teaser of Karan Johar’s much-anticipated Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani was launched by Shah Rukh Khan on Tuesday. The film marks Karan Johar’s comeback as director after seven years. The teaser promises a typical Bollywood drama film.
Starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles, the film also features Bollywood legends such as Shabana Azmi, Jaya Bachchan, and Dharmendra.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’s teaser displays glimpses of love, emotions, drama, tradition, and family—all of Karan Johar’s statement elements.
Produced by Viacom 10 Studios and Dharma Production House, the film marks Karan Johar's 25th anniversary in the film industry.
The teaser shows Ranveer Singh making the classic back turn dance, jumping in the air, and Alia Bhatt adorned in a chiffon saree and dancing in the Alps. The background score throughout the 1.15-minute teaser contributes to providing classic K Jo-90s Bollywood vibes.
However, the teaser doesn’t reveal much about the storyline of the film, and Karan Johar has managed to keep the plot under wraps while just managing to trigger some curiosity.
The synopsis of the teaser reads, "Karan Johar, in his 25th anniversary year, invites you to a world that magnifies the power of love, embraces the complexities of relationships, and celebrates the beauty of both perfect and imperfect families. A new era of love dawns upon us all as #RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani begins now."
Ranveer Singh And Alia Bhatt were last seen together on the big screen in Gully Boy (2019). Karan Johar also brings back Dharmendra and Jaya Bachchan together on screen after decades. The actors were last seen together in films such as Guddi and Chupke Chupke. Jaya Bachchan is also making a comeback in Rocky Aur Rani ki Prem Kii Kahani after performing a cameo role in Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor’s 2016 film Ki & Ka.
Dharma Productions treated fans with yet another update on the film. Sharing stills from the film of the veteran cast, the makers introduced new looks of the actors.
The multi-starrer film is scheduled to hit cinemas on July 28, 2023.
