They're Golden: Amitabh And Jaya Bachchan Celebrate 50th Anniversary

Actor-couple Amitabh Bachchan and his wife Jaya Bhaduri Bachchan marked the Golden Jubilee of their wedding anniversary together. Their daughter Shweta Bachchan penned down a heartwarming note and shared a vintage photo of the couple on social media.

As Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan and actress and MLA in Rajya Sabha, Jaya Bachchan marked the 50th anniversary of their marriage, their Daughter Shweta Bachchan penned down a note spilling the beans of her parents' secret of a long marriage.

To mark the occasion Shweta Bachchan took to her Instagram late on Friday night with her parents' vintage photograph with the caption that quotes "Happy 50th parents - now you're 'golden'". Shweta mentioned in the caption that she had once asked her parents what the secret to a long marriage was. While her mother responded that it was love, her father answered that the wife is always right."

In the photograph, Jaya Bachchan is dolled up in a traditional saree with her head covered, young Amitabh Bachchan can be seen in retro fashion wearing a floral shirt with flared pants.

As the couple was married in an intimate ceremony on June 3rd, 1973, Amitabh Bachchan took it to his blog to pen down a brief note that says "June 3 dawns in a few .. and the years be counted as 50 .. love respect and gratitude for the wishes, that have come and perhaps shall come .."

Navya Naveli Nanda on Grandparents' Anniversary

Not just the mom but even the young daughter Navya Nanda posted a story on her Instagram of her grandparents from the sets of the 2001 movie Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham along with red heart emojis.  Navya also added the song Teri Bindiya Re from the movie Abhiman from 1973.
