Sanjay Leela Bhansali who is known for his grand sets and royal mise-en-scène in his films is reportedly going to make his web series debut soon. As per reports, there talks are on about roping in Richa Chadha for the web show. The show will reportedly be a historical period drama.
A few weeks back, actor Richa Chadha was seen outside Bhansali's office which, further deepened the speculations. If the sources are correct in their suppositions then we would witness Bhansali and Chadha collaborating for work after nine years. Last time Chadha starred in Bhansali's Ram-Leela where she played the supporting role of Raseela.

An anonymous source told Mid-Day that Bhansali is materialising a period drama rooted in chapters of Indian history. According to the source, Bhansali is making the film independently after which he will sell it to an OTT platform. The source added that the Bhansali is currently hunting for two male leads. Moreover, Richa is interested in playing the female lead role but is yet to sign on the same line, the source said.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Other Projects
Bhansali is currently busy with Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi which is scheduled to release in 2021. The film is adapted from one of the chapters of noted author Hussain Zaidi's book, "Mafia Queens of Mumbai". On 1st January 2021, an eight-second video was posted on the Bhansali Productions Instagram account announcing its 2021 release. Watch the video here:
