Porn Vs Prostitution: Raj Kundra’s Old Tweets Go Viral After His Arrest
In one of his old tweets, the businessman had questioned "why it was legal to pay someone for sex on camera", also asking how prostitution was different from porn.
Raj Kundra tweets viral: Businessman Raj Kundra was arrested by the Mumbai Police Crime Branch on Monday night for being an alleged "key conspirator" in a case related to the creation and publishing of pornographic films via mobile applications. The businessman, who is married to actor Shilpa Shetty, was initially summoned for questioning, but subsequently arrested, based on the evidence found by police.

Now, after his arrest made nationwide headlines, Kundra’s old tweets about "porn vs prostitution" from the year 2012 are going viral on social media. In his tweets, the British-Indian businessman had asked "why it was legal to pay someone for sex on camera" further asking how prostitution was different from porn.

Sharing his thoughts on porn, he had written in a tweet (dated March 29, 2012), “Ok so here go's Porn Vs Prostitution. Why is it legal to pay someone for sex on camera? How is one different to the other??”
Meanwhile, in another tweet (dated May 3, 2012), the businessman wrote that in India, "actors are playing cricketers, cricketers are playing politicians, politicians are watching porn while porn stars are becoming actors."
Soon after these old tweets by Kundra resurfaced on Twitter netizens were quick to point out how ironic this case has turned out to be. One user wrote, "Shilpa Shetty Husband Raj Kundra ARRESTED by Mumbai Crime Branch for publishing Adult Films Racket #RajKundra Here is one of his old tweet. Shameful it is." Another user tweeted, "So #RajKundra will debate this with @MumbaiPolice now", sharing the screenshot of his old tweets.

According to Mumbai Police Commissioner Hemant Nagrale, Kundra appears to be a “key conspirator” of this case. The businessman has reportedly denied the allegations against him, however, the commissioner said that the force had enough evidence to bring him in and prove his involvement. Who is Raj Kundra?
A British-Indian businessman, Raj Kundra married actor Shilpa Shetty in 2009. Kundra is also the part-owner of Indian Premier League cricket team Rajasthan Royals. He is also known to have backed Jaldi Live Stream, a social media streaming app which allows professionals and amateurs to showcase their talent directly to the viewers via live streaming.
