On MMS Controversy, Actor Priyanka Pandit Says Someone "Planning" Against Her: Report

Priyanka Pandit viral video, which shows a woman alleged to be her captured in a 'compromising' position, has sparked controversy on social media that is refusing to die down. Naming her, the old private MMS is wide in circulation again. Breaking silence on the matter days after it surfaced, Pandit is quoted in reports saying she is falsely being implicated in the controversy.

Speaking to the media, the Bhojpuri actor known for films like Banoo Main Teri Dulhan and Judwaa 2 reiterated she is not the woman in the viral clip and the controversy is someone's "planning" in a bid to tarnish her image, according to Times of India.

Pandit's controversy erupted soon after her film industry colleague Trisha Kar Madhu faced similar trolling for a private video featuring her and her partner that went viral online. Madhu issued repeated requests to netizens to stop sharing her clip.

1. Pandit, who is in her 20s, is a prominent actor in Bhojpuri films and has a large social media following of over 6,00,000. She made her debut in the industry in 2013 with Jeena Teri Gali Me. Pandit has starred alongside top actors making her one of the most notable screen names in eastern India.

2. When the MMS video, allegedly of her, first surfaced some time ago, she dismissed them as defamatory and denied the woman in the clip was her.

3. When the video re-appeared online this time around, Pandit initially remained silent. She however continued interaction through her account on Instagram - even making a cryptic post about silence being the "best response" when "dealing with idiots." The actor has limited comments on her social media posts.
