Is Priyanka Chopra Set To Star In Don 3? Read Details On The Film

Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas, during her recent visit to India, utilised the opportunity to connect with industry insiders, contemplating her next moves in the Hindi film industry whilst balancing an incredible project lineup in Hollywood. Reports suggest that she's considering involvement in the Don franchise.

After announcing Ranveer Singh's takeover of the Don series, replacing Shah Rukh Khan, filmmaker Farhan Akhtar has shifted focus to Don 3.  According to Hindustan Times's report, Akhtar is actively working on reuniting with his Dil Dhadakne Do co-stars for this upcoming venture.

The report quoted their source, saying that the team of Don 3 has indeed approached Priyanka Chopra to revisit her character and that "her return might also become a reality as Shah Rukh (Khan) is no longer associated with the project." In fact, the first few meetings also took place when Chopra came to India recently for another professional commitment. She used her time in India to align the talks and figure out her next project in the Hindi film industry.

Priyanka Chopra To Star In Don 3?

In the Don franchise, Chopra starred as Roma Bhagat, also known as 'Junglee Billi'. The report added how Chopra has a very close bond with Akhtar and is trying to make it work and checking her schedule.

According to the report, since Jee Lee Zara could not happen for Chopra and Akhtar, both teams are trying to make Don 3 work. Chopra enjoys working with Akhtar and has shown her interest, if things fall into place, it will be a reunion of the Dil Dhadakne Do gang, and that’s something to look out for. Moreover, the report claimed that Akhtar is ready to get going with Don 3 with Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra.

Previously, Kiara Advani was rumoured to be considered for the lead role in Don 3, as reported by various sources. However, in an interview with BBC Asian Network, Farhan Akhtar was cautious in revealing details about the female lead, stating, "It's all a work in progress. I don't want to preemptively say something that might need retraction later. When the time is right, you'll be informed."

Regarding the filming schedule, Don 3 is anticipated to hit screens in 2025.
