The social media post shared by Priyanka Chopra comes after Simone Biles pulled out from all-around individual events at the Tokyo Olympics. The six-time Olympic medallist prioritised her mental well-being over medal success.

The actor took to Instagram to share a snippet from the interview of her first guest on her YouTube Originals Special If I Could Tell You Just One Thing.

“I had the joy of getting to know @simonebiles a few years ago, and she blew me away then with her vulnerability and self-awareness,” Chopra wrote.

Speaking of her withdrawal from the international event, the 39-year-old asserted that with Biles’ decision we were reminded she is “truly the GOAT” and there’s nothing that “supersedes taking care of ourselves”.

In her post, the actor called Simone Biles a “role model”, who inspires her. “Once again you have shown us what it truly means to be a champion,” she concluded.

Who is Simone Biles?

Simone Biles, the 25-year-old gymnast has bagged a whopping count of 30 Olympic and World Championship medals in her sport of artistic gymnastics.

Following Biles withdrawal, the US federation announced that a decision on whether the gymnast would compete in individual event finals would be taken after the daily evaluation.

In her statement regarding her decision, the USA Gymnastics said that she has withdrawn from the final individual all-around competition at the Tokyo Olympic Games after further medical evaluation "in order to focus on her mental health".
