Paatal Lok new season is highly anticipated and now that after two years of wait, the show is ready to return, the audience is finding it hard to stay calm. The makers of the show have made announcements regarding the show's new season's release. As fans anticipate the show's return, the cast and crew are busy celebrating two years of the gritty, amazing show that was released in May 2020 amid lockdown.
Paatal Lok is a web show inspired by the Tarun Tejpal's book The Narrative of My Assassins which is directed by Avinash Arun and Prosit Roy. Written by Sudip Sharma, the plot follows a dissatisfied police officer Hathiram Chaudhary (played by Jaideep Ahlawat) who has to resolve a murder attempt case that has gone wrong.

The Amazon Prime original show's new season will reportedly unfold in the East Delhi background. Ahlwat will reprise his role as Inspector Chowdhary and narrator of the story. He will return as a suspicious police officer sent to look into a high-profile incident. Although an official announcement is yet to be made, it is expected that season 2 will likely follow the unfolding of a new murder mystery.
Ahlawat had, after the release of season 1, stated “I'll be very happy to return to Pataal Lok. It was one of the first shows released during the first lockdown, people loved it and it had set the benchmark for the craze that people developed for OTT content since then. However, I'm not aware of the situation of Paatal Lok 2 – the makers alone will be the right people to answer that, you'll have to ask them. Hopefully, it'll happen soon.”
Paatal Lok season 1 featured a stellar cast alongside Jaideep Ahlawat including Niharika Layra Dutt, Neeraj Kabi, Swastika Mukherjee, Ishwak Singh, Gul Panag and Abhishek Banerjee along with others.
Paatal Lok New Season Release
Paatal Lok Season 2 premiere was initially set for May 2022; however, no trailer or official release date has been announced by the makers or the streaming platform yet. Until then Paatal Lok season 1 is available for you to watch on the platform.
