The first trailer for Netflix’s The Royals was recently released, giving fans a glimpse into the grand but struggling city of Morpur. The show mixes romance, comedy, and drama, telling the story of a prince and a CEO who must work together to turn the fading royal family’s legacy into a successful business.

In the trailer, we meet Aviraaj Singh, played by Ishaan Khatter, a prince who doesn’t want to take on the responsibilities of his royal title. After the death of Maharaj, played by Milind Soman, Aviraaj is forced to step up and try to restore the family’s honor.
Things change for him when he meets Sophia Kanmani Shekhar, played by Bhumi Pednekar. Sophia is a strong and ambitious CEO with big dreams. The two are forced to join hands to revamp Morpur’s rundown haveli and its residents. As they work together, their egos clash, leading to a whirlwind of flirtation, family conflicts, and high-stakes drama.

Directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana, The Royals is written by Neha Veena Sharma and produced by Pritish Nandy Communications. The series is created by RangitaPritish Nandy and Ishita Pritish Nandy. The ensemble cast includes Zeenat Aman, Nora Fatehi, Sakshi Tanwar, Dino Morea, Chunky Panday, Lisa Mishra, Sumukhi Suresh and Luke Kenny.
The show is set to premiere on Netflix on May 9, 2025.
