Nandy was a prominent figure in journalism, poetry, and Indian cinema, leaving behind a rich legacy that spanned decades. Kareena Kapoor, who starred in Sudhir Mishra's 2004 film Chameli, produced by Pritish Nandy Communications, paid a touching tribute on her Instagram Stories. Kareena shared pictures from the set of Chameli, including one where she is seen chatting with Nandy. Alongside the photos, she posted a red heart, folded hands, and infinity emojis, expressing her admiration and respect for him.

Sanjay Dutt, who worked with Nandy on films like Kaante and Shabd, remembered him as a "true creative genius and a kind soul." Sharing a black-and-white photo of Nandy, Dutt wrote on X, “You will be missed, sir. #PritishNandy,” accompanied by a folded hands emoji.

Anil Kapoor expressed his shock and heartbreak over Nandy’s passing. Sharing the same picture of Nandy, Kapoor wrote on Instagram, “Shocked and heartbroken by the loss of my dear friend Pritish Nandy. A fearless editor, a brave soul, and a man of his word, he embodied integrity like no other.”

Director Hansal Mehta also shared his sorrow, recalling Nandy’s support early in his career. Mehta credited Nandy with giving him the confidence to pursue bold storytelling. He wrote, “You lived well, Mr. Nandy. Will miss you terribly. Deepest condolences to the entire family.” Mehta shared memories of their inspiring conversations and how Nandy's belief in his ideas helped shape his career, even though Nandy did not end up producing his film Omerta.

Sayani Gupta, who starred in the web series Four More Shots Please!, remembered Nandy as “the youngest guy” on set. She praised his warmth, brilliance, and candid nature.

Sayani shared, “He loved a good conversation. He loved Bong women. And I knew he loved me.” She described Nandy as a visionary and a rock star feminist who created iconic women characters in cinema. Reflecting on the recent loss, she added, “The head of our family just left us. Hasn't sunk in. A deep, deep loss.”
