In a press release issued by the NCW, it states that the commission received a complaint from Bharatiya Stree Shakti, Maharashtra condemning the “open circulation of sexually explicit content involving minors on social media platforms.”

The complaint highlights that the trailer of the film Nay Varan Bhat Loncha Kon Nay Koncha, released on January 10, 2022, shows sexually explicit content depicting women and children in objectionable ways.

The commission has demanded to ensure that such open circulation of sexually explicit content should be checked upon and should be censored immediately to prevent being circulated on social media. “The trailer is being circulated on social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc without any age restrictions for viewers and hence is available even for minors to watch,” the press release said.
