On Tuesday night in New Jersey at MTV's Video Music Awards (VMA), in which the winners are chosen as the fans vote, this year female singers stole the night with their performances, clinching some of the best awards.

However, the longtime besties Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift dazzled the night, giving us all some major BFF goals as netizens just cannot get over the cute moments between the two friends.
While the two best friends were not seated together on the award nights, they did not fail to be each other's biggest cheerleaders as the two pop stars took the stage to accept the star.
Swift won the award for Best Pop Music Video for her chartbuster song Anti Hero, while Gomez and Rema won the Afrobeats Video Award for their viral song together, Calm Down.
As Rema asks Gomez to give her acceptance speech on the stage, Taylor can be seen wholeheartedly cheering for her bestie while also asking people seated around her to get up and cheer for Gomez. She also throws a flying kiss at the award-accepting singer as she walks down the stage.
The heartwarming video was shared by many fan pages on the internet, as Swift can be seen grooving to her bestie's song.
But not just Swift, Gomez was also seen standing up for her bestie Taylor Swift she stood up during Swift's acceptance speech and can be seen smiling and being in awe and proud of her bestie.
As the two did not fail to root for each other, netizens could not stop obsessing over their friendship all over again. The two first met in 2008 when they were dating the Jonas brothers, as Gomez was dating Nick Jonas while Swift was dating Joe Jonas.
