In a recent interview, the actor detailed her experience with the egg-freezing process, discussing its duration and her body's response. She noted the expense of the procedure back then, contrasting it with the present when it's more accessible.

Mona Singh discussed her decision to freeze her eggs during an interview with the Humans of Bombay. Encouraged by their family gynaecologist, who suggested the idea during a dinner, she found merit in the option. Explaining the process, she highlighted a timeline of about 3 to 6 months, mentioning the potential discomfort caused by hormonal changes, mood swings, and bodily alterations. Singh mentioned undergoing the necessary tests with her mother and completing the procedure in Pune during a break from work.

She said, "My mom and I, we went for all my tests, and I did it in Pune. I took a break from TV. I took a break from work. I wasn't doing anything. I was at home, and in four months, we finished the procedure."

Six other Indian celebrities, including Mona Singh, have also openly discussed their choice to freeze their eggs.

I don’t know I thought I might get married, might not. Very late, if it happens."

She said, "I felt such freedom, I did it in my early thirties and I could continue on an ambitious warpath, I wanted to achieve and I wanted to get to a certain place in my career. Also, I had not met the person with whom I wanted to have children."
