The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Four will see many films and series release in 2022. The collection of superhero films and television series are based on characters appearing in Marvel comics. Marvel films releasing between 2021 and 2023 are all included in Phase Four including the recently released Spiderman: No Way Home. There are a lot of Marvel Phase 4 upcoming releases fans are excited for.

Marvel Phase 4 Upcoming Movies:

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

The upcoming American superhero film, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, is based on the Marvel Comics character Doctor Strange. It is the sequel to Doctor Strange (2016) and the 28th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams star alongside Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange in the film directed by Sam Raimi and written by Michael Waldron. In the flick, Strange and his companions' journey across the universe to meet a mysterious new foe. It will release on May 6, 2022.

Thor: Love and Thunder

Thor: Love and Thunder is a new American superhero film based on Marvel Comics' Thor. It will be the direct sequel to Thor: Ragnarok (2017) and the Marvel Cinematic Universe's 29th feature. Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Jaimie Alexander, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Sean Gunn, Jeff Goldblum, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper star alongside Chris Hemsworth as Thor.

Thor enlists Valkyrie (Thompson), Korg (Waititi), and Jane Foster (Portman), who has become the Mighty Thor, to stop Gorr the God Butcher (Bale) from incinerating all gods in the film. Thor: Love and Thunder is set to hit theatres on July 8, 2022, in the United States.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

The upcoming American superhero film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is based on the Marvel Comics character Black Panther. Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Angela Bassett, and Dominique Thorne are among the cast members of the film. As part of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be released in the United States on November 11, 2022.

Carol Danvers, Captain Marvel, Kamala Khan, Ms Marvel, and Monica Rambeau star in The Marvels, an upcoming American superhero film based on Marvel Comics. The film stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and is directed by Nia DaCosta from a script by Megan McDonnell. As part of Phase Four of the MCU, The Marvels will be released in the United States on February 17, 2023.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

The upcoming American superhero film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is based on the Marvel Comics superhero team Guardians of the Galaxy. It will be the 32nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the sequel to Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017).

Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, Sylvester Stallone, and Will Poulter are among the ensemble cast members. As part of the MCU's Phase Four, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be released in the United States on May 5, 2023.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is a Marvel Comics-based superhero film starring Scott Lang as Ant-Man and Hope Pym as the Wasp. It will be the 33rd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the sequel to Ant-Man (2015) and Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018).

Along with Michael Douglas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kathryn Newton, and Jonathan Majors, it stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang and Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne. As part of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will be released in the United States on July 28, 2023.

Upcoming Marvel TV Shows:

Ms Marvel

Ms Marvel is an upcoming American television miniseries based on the Marvel Comics character Kamala Khan / Ms Marvel, produced by Bisha K. Ali for the Disney+ streaming service. It is set to be the sixth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, produced by Marvel Studios, and will follow in the footsteps of the franchise's films.

Iman Vellani will portray Ms Marvel. The character will also appear in Captain Marvel 2, but first and foremost, she will have her own series, which will premiere on June 8, 2022. The series' initial teaser featured a vibrant coming-of-age story centred on a superhero-obsessed Kamala, who eventually gains cosmic powers of her own.

She-Hulk

She-Hulk is a new American television series in the works. It is set to be the eighth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, produced by Marvel Studios, and will follow in the footsteps of the franchise's films. Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk is played by Tatiana Maslany.

In addition to Mark Ruffalo, Tim Roth, Ginger Gonzaga, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Jameela Jamil, the film stars Mark Ruffalo, Tim Roth, Ginger Gonzaga, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Jameela Jamil. She-Hulk is set to premiere in 2022 and will be comprised of ten episodes. It will be part of the MCU's fourth phase.

Blade

The studio has confirmed that a Blade film, starring Mahershala Ali as the titular vampire hunter, is in the works. Ali will be appearing in the MCU for the second time, having previously played Cottonmouth in the Netflix series Luke Cage. The two roles will be unrelated.

There isn't much else known about Blade other than that it will be written by Stacy Osei-Kuffour, who previously worked on HBO's Watchmen. Bassam Tariq will be in charge of the direction. According to a recent message from the official Marvel India Twitter account, the film will be released on October 7, 2022, making it part of Phase 4. However, unless we hear from Kevin Feige directly, we're going to keep Blade as a Phase 5 title.

Secret Invasion

In December 2020, Disney+ announced a television miniseries based on the Secret Invasion narrative as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). In Secret Invasion, Samuel L. Jackson reprises his role as Nick Fury, with Ben Mendelsohn reprising his role as the shape-shifter Talos. Emilia Clarke and Olivia Colman have been cast in unknown roles.

Cobie Smulders is also reprising her role as Maria Hill, a former SHIELD agent. On Disney Plus Day, the first look at Nick Fury in the series was published, but the release date has yet to be confirmed.

Deadpool 3

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ryan Reynolds' Merc returns for an adventure. Although little is known about the threequel, Reynolds previously stated that filming would begin in 2022. Shawn Levy has signed on to direct, and Leslie Uggams, who played Blind Al, is expected to return.

Ironheart

Ironheart (also known as Riri Williams), the heir of Iron Man, will be played by Dominique Thorne, an up-and-coming actor. Nothing else is known about this Disney Plus show, which has yet to air on television.

Armour Wars

Armour Wars is a new American web television series based on the same-named Marvel Comics event. The film is a follow-up to Avengers: Endgame. It is the Marvel Cinematic Universe's twenty-fourth television series and a Phase Four instalment. Marvel Studios is producing the series, which will premiere on Disney+. However, the release date has yet to be announced.

I Am Groot

I Am Groot is an upcoming American animated television series based on the Marvel Comics character Groot, produced by Ryan Little for the Disney+ streaming service. Characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe appear in it. Little serves as the series' chief writer, and Kirsten Lepore directs the shorts, which are produced by Marvel Studios.

In December 2020, I Am Groot was unveiled. By August 2021, photorealistic animation for the series had begun, and Little and Lepore had joined as writer and director, respectively, by November 2021. I Am Groot is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2022 as part of the MCU's Phase Four, but no release date has been set.

Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is a forthcoming American television special based on the Marvel Comics superhero team Guardians of the Galaxy, developed, written, and directed by James Gunn for the streaming service.

Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, and Pom Klementieff will reprise their roles from the previous films in the franchise. As part of Phase Four of the MCU, the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will be published on Disney+ in December 2022.

What If...? Season 2

What If... is an animated anthology series produced in the United States. It is Marvel Studios' fourth television series and the studio's first animated series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The series looks at various timelines in the multiverse to see what would happen if important events in the MCU films were to occur differently.

What If...? aired its debut season on August 11, 2021, and lasted nine episodes till October 6. In 2022, a second nine-episode season is slated to air. The release date, however, has yet to be confirmed.
