Kaushal and Bedi married in 1999 and became parents to son Vir and daughter Tara.

Following Bedi's meteoric rise after television show Shanti and 1995's blockbuster Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, she met Kaushal. At the time, Kaushal was reportedly working with director Mukul Anand. A love story blossomed as Bedi and Kaushal began dating and eventually tied the knot. They were married for 22 years.

Condolences for Kaushal poured in from the film and television industry after his demise on June 30. The funeral was attended by friends of the couple Ashish Chaudhary, Ronit Roy and others. A prayer meet was held for Kaushal on Saturday.

Massive support has grown online for Bedi who became the target of social media trolls following Kaushal's funeral, where she was pictured performing his final rites and was dressed in a simple tee and jeans. Colleagues Mini Mathur and Sona Mohapatra came to Bedi's defence. More here.
