Actor Kubbra Sait has tested positive for COVID-19, as per a note she shared on social media Friday. The Sacred Games star said she is “alright” and resting, asking people who came in recent contact with her to take a home test. “…else better stay indoors and take a break,” she added.
“Hey beautiful peeps, first and foremost #maskup Second of first, I’ve tested positive with mild/ asymptomatic covid-19,” Sait wrote on an Instagram story. “If we were in contact with me, please run a home test… (so that we don’t burden the already burdened testing system). I haven’t still received the results from the lab it’s been 36 hours), else better stay indoors and take a break.”
“Stay calm state of mind, consume loads of fluids, watch little tv and phone. So in 5-7 days, we can say #ByeOmicron.”
Sait is one in a long line of celebrities from the film and entertainment industry to test positive for the virus following the festive season. Members of Bollywood’s two prominent Kapoor families – those of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor – recently tested COVID-19 positive. Know more about it here. On Thursday, film actor Lakshmi Manchu also shared her positive diagnosis for COVID-19, writing it “finally caught” her. “It’s going to affect everybody and get all of us just like a common cold. What we need to do is take care of our immunity and make sure our bodies are strong enough to fight the virus,” she added in an Instagram post.
Singer Vishal Dadlani has also tested positive, as told on social media on January 7.

Who is Kubbra Sait?
An actor and model, Sait is best known for her role as Kukoo, a trans woman, in the Hindi thriller series Sacred Games that stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui. She hails from Bengaluru and worked in the corporate world for a bit in Dubai before making her entry into showbiz.
She has also appeared in films Gully Boy and Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare.
