Alia Bhatt And Ranveer Singh To Be First Guests Of 'Koffee With Karan' New Season?

Director-Producer Karan Johar shocked the Bollywood buffs with his announcement of Koffee With Karan taking the OTT route. Now speculations are rife that the first guests to appear in the new season will be actors Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt who are currently filming a project Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.

A major publication reported that Bhatt and Singh will be appearing as the first guests of the chat show’s latest season. The report emerged as rumours were going around that Bhatt will be appearing as a guest with her husband actor Ranbir Kapoor.

Koffee With Karan New Season

Alia and Ranveer will be reportedly shooting for their episode on May 10. Since the two are currently filming together, fans are hoping for the two actors to spill on-set secrets. Moreover, this may also be the first time Alia will speak about her wedding and Hollywood debut alongside Gal Gadot.

Earlier in the day on May 4, the host of the popular chat show made an announcement that his chat show will not be returning with a new season. His note read, “Hello, Koffee With Karan has been a part of my life, and yours, for 6 seasons now. I’d like to think we’ve made an impact and even found our place in pop culture history. And so, it is with a heavy heart that I announce that Koffee With Karan will not be returning. Karan Johar.”

While the disheartened fans were still reeling from the shock, Johar posted another announcement and captioned it saying, “Even more important announcement to make.”

Johar wrote in his statement, “Koffee With Karan will not be returning... on TV! Because every great story needs a good twist. I'm delighted to announce Season 7 of Koffee With Karan will stream exclusively on Disney+Hotstar. The biggest movie stars from across India will return to the couch to spill the beans while drinking some koffee. There will be games, there will be rumours put to rest - and there will be conversations that go deep, about love, loss and everything we've all been through over the last few years. Koffee With Karan, 'streaming soon', only on Disney+Hotstar. Toodles!”
