Karan Johar's directorial debut, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, marked its 25th anniversary this year. In the next episode of his talk show, Koffee With Karan Season 8, the filmmaker and host will welcome Kajol and Rani Mukerji, both co-stars with Shah Rukh Khan in the movie. Johar shared a promo for the upcoming episode on November 27.
At the start of the recent Koffee With Karan promo, Mukerji expressed to Karan Johar, "I want to expose you." In response, the filmmaker cautioned, "Don't say such things," as Kajol chimed in, "I like this show already."

Further in the promo, Mukerji recounted various instances to Karan Johar, seemingly from the Kuch Kuch Hota Hai shoot, mentioning incidents like food being taken from her hand and even being hit by him. When Johar interrupted, denying the hitting allegation, she responded with a dismissive remark. Kajol joined in, implying it was abusive behaviour, and Johar reacted with a lighthearted exclamation.
During the rapid-fire segment, Johar asks Kajol about a movie in which Mukerji made a guest appearance. Kajol was unable to answer, which turned out to be Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham marked Karan Johar's second directorial project. The film starred Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, and Jaya Bachchan in pivotal roles. Rani Mukerji portrayed the character of Naina Kapoor, who desires to marry Rahul, played by Khan.
Following various rounds of the rapid-fire, Kajol humorously mentioned she would 'stage a walkout' after struggling to answer some of Johar's questions.
Sharing the promo, Johar wrote in his Instagram caption, "We’ve hit the (rewind emoji) button hard enough to bring my first leading ladies - Kajol and Rani back on the Koffee couch and it’s nostalgia in the purest form!!!!
