The image of Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji playfully swaying to the nostalgic title track is etched in memory, leaving behind a legacy of defining moments. Kajol has treated her fans to an endearing video in which she is seen in her renowned character, Anjali, from the 1998 movie. In honour of the 25th anniversary of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kajol chose to sport a tracksuit reminiscent of the one she wore in the film. 

Kajol Dresses Up As Anjali, Fans Pour Hearts

Posting the video on Instagram, Kajol wrote, “Stepping back into Anjali’s shoes after 25 years ( couldn’t find the basketball though) So many memories and love attached to this film. Several fans mentioned that their fondness for Kajol began when they watched her in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. One of them reminisced about their childhood, sharing how they used to resemble Anjali due to their fascination with the character and how their admiration for Kajol began with that movie and continues to this day.

Kajol On Playing A Tomboy

When discussing her "tomboy" appearance in the film, Kajol mentioned to India Today, "The Tomboy part of her definitely! I loved her tracks and workout wear. I am still wearing them today. So that is very much a part of me even today." When asked about advice she'd offer to Anjali now, Kajol jokingly said she would recommend a straightener and better hair blow-drying.

Regarding the choice between the two lead male characters, Kajol quipped, "I will tell Anjali to cut her hair and open an athleisure company. Dump both of them." Shah Rukh Khan portrayed Rahul, Kajol's college love, while Salman Khan played Aman, her fiancé.
