The eagerly anticipated YRF spy universe is generating a lot of excitement. This cinematic universe is expected to bring together some of the most prominent figures in the film industry, such as Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Kiara Advani, NTR Jr, and many more.
According to the latest report from India Today, Ayan Mukerji is set to kick off filming for War 2, one of the films in the spy universe, in October. According to a source, the film's muharat (traditional inaugural ceremony) has already taken place, and Ayan Mukerji is planning to commence shooting for the movie within this month.
Ayan Mukerji To Helm ‘War 2’
The source added that Roshan, who is currently in Italy for Fighter, is expected to return soon to start shooting for War 2. In the interim, filming with NTR Jr. might get underway. Kiara Advani has also been confirmed as the female lead for this action thriller.
According to reports, there is speculation that Salman Khan, in his Tiger 3, may introduce NTR Jr. to the universe. However, this information has not been officially confirmed yet.
As for the release date of War 2, it is currently being considered for a release either next year or in early 2025. The studio is committed to delivering high-quality productions, as seen with the success of Pathaan, which has become one of YRF's highest-grossing Hindi films this year, crossing the significant milestone of Rs 1000 crore in worldwide earnings. The next film in the university, Tiger 3, is also scheduled to release this December.
Kiara Advani Joins Cast Of War 2
According to a report, “War 2 has a dream team three superstars being part of it. Hrithik Roshan, NTR Jr, Ayan Mukerji, and now Kiara Advani. Earlier, YRF had Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone opposite Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in Tiger and Pathaan respectively. Advani became the third leading lady to join the Universe. With Advani, Hrithik Roshan, and NTR Jr, we will be getting to see fresh pairing on-screen. The time will tell whether the cast would be able to win the hearts of fans or not.
