Theatre, TV and film actor Rasik Dave passed away on Friday. His wife and fellow actor Ketki Dave has opened up about his passing and recalled how the two met and fell in love. Rasik was 65.

Rasik is survived by his wife, son, and daughter. His mother-in-law Sarita Joshi revealed that Rasik had kidney issues and was on dialysis for the past two years.

Ketki on her husband's passing said that life now would never be the same. She said in an interview that he preferred to keep his kidney disease a private matter and that as a family, they "never shared about his deteriorating health with anyone."

He made his acting debut in the Gujarati film Putra Vadhu and portrayed Nanda in the Mahabharata legendary TV drama. He also took part in the 2006 season of the dance reality series Nach Baliye alongside Ketki.

She further added in an interview that he had recently encouraged her to keep working no matter what. She said, “He kept saying that the show must go on and I should never stop working."

Ketki claimed that his support is the sole reason she is able to handle things "bravely." Despite being surrounded by family members—her mother, her mother-in-law, and her children—she declared that his absence would change her life forever.

Additionally, Ketki recalled how the couple first met in 1979 while working on a play set and later got married in 1983 after falling in love. She characterised her deceased spouse as a "solid, down-to-earth" individual who valued experiencing life to the utmost. “I can say that 40 years of marriage with Rasik went by happily because he was someone who believed that life has to be lived well,” she said while remembering him. Members of the cinema and television industries, including JD Majethia and Ashoke Pandit, expressed sympathy for Rasik's passing.
