Actor Ketki Dave's Husband Rasik Dave Passes Away Due To Kidney Failure

Actor Rasik Dave, married to Ketki Dave passed away on July 29 after suffering from kidney ailments. The actor is known for appearing in many Gujarati films and dramas and Hindi television series.

Actor Rasik Dave, married to Ketki Dave passed away on July 29 after suffering from kidney ailments. The actor is known for appearing in many Gujarati films and dramas and Hindi television series.

Rasik Dave was reportedly on dialysis for the previous two years and passed away at the age of 65. He is survived by his wife Ketki Dave and their two children, Riddhi and Abhishek.  Dave and his wife are known for their roles in Gujarati films and dramas and own a Gujarati theatre company together. He made his film debut in the 1982 Gujarati film Putra Vadhu.

Dave is known for playing the role of Karsandas Dhansukhlal Vaishnav in the Hindi television series Sanskaar – Dharohar Apnon Ki. He was in the Hindi epic television series Mahabharat. In 2006, he and his wife Ketki participated in the dancing reality television show Nach Baliye. He made appearances in the films Jhooti, Eeshwar, Masoom, and Straight.

Dave made appearances in television series C.I.D, Byomkesh Bakshi, Savdhaan India: Crime Alert, Roop – Mard Ka Naya Swaroop, and Shrikant Bashir.

Actor Rasik Dave Dies

Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit took to Twitter and have his condolences to his family. Pandit wrote, “Sad to know about the demise of a dear friend Rasik Dave who was a versatile actor on stage, TV and films due to kidney failure.”

Actor and producer JD Majethia also took to Twitter and wrote, “Heartbroken and deeply saddened to hear about the untimely demise of Rasik Dave. Gone too soon brother. May God give your family the strength to get through his difficult time.”

Late Rasik Dave’s wife Ketki is also an actor who has appeared in Hindi and Gujarati films. She is the daughter of actor Sarita Joshi and theatre director Pravin Joshi. Her younger sister Purbi Joshi is also an actor and anchor. She is best known for her role as Daksha Virani in the soap opera Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and is also in the reboot of Balika Vadhu, Preet Se Bandhi Ye Dori Ram Milaayi Jodi, Aaj Ki Housewife Hai... Sab Jaanti Hai, and Pavitra Rishta.
