Thalaivi Song Release: Actor Kangana Ranaut took to Instagram to announce the first song release of her upcoming movie Thalaivi. The movie is going to be a biopic based on the late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalithaa.
Ranaut's post on social media thanked the fans who have shown support for Thalaivi and have extensively tweeted about the film using the hashtag #voteforthalaivi. She wrote, " Thank you for your innumerable response! We've heard you and the first song of Thalaivi will soon be released. Stay tuned!" Although the actor did not mention the date and time of the song release, fans in the comment section showed excitement for the first-ever release of the soundtrack of the much-awaited film.
The biopic based on Jayalalithaa is supposed to be a political drama. Based on the trailer of the movie, which was recently released, the film will narrate the life story of the late politician from her days in the film industry as an actor. The trailer also showed glimpses of the infamous assault on Jayalalithaa in the Tamil Nadu Assembly. Actor Kangana Ranaut who is playing the lead role was seen channelling the role of the great political figure. The reactions to the trailer were mostly positive as fans showed great enthusiasm to see how the movie depicts Jayalalithaa.
The trailer also had an impactful background score which resembles a fanfare, the kind that is known to be used in south Indian cinema and mostly political dramas. The film's music director is G. V. Prakash with the backing of T Series. Thalaivi has been directed by filmmaker Vijay and has been produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shaailesh R Singh. The film has been bankrolled by Vibri Motion Pictures, Karma Media and Zee Studios. The film will be released on April 23, 2021.
