Ranveer Singh starrer film titled Jayeshbhai Jordaar has come with its first trailer on April 19. The film is set to release in theatres on May 13.

As per the trailer, the film is set in a small village and Ranveer Singh's character is the son of the village's sarpanch. The film deals with the issue of female foeticide and Singh's character seems to be starting a rebellion against his family to stop them from killing her baby girl in his wife's womb. Singh's character is supported by Shalini Pandey's Kinjal Ajmera who is playing his wife in the film. The role of his father is played by Boman Irani and his mother's role is played by Ratna Pathak Shah.

Singh's character seems to be taking the lead in the film and saving the girl child and his wife from the atrocities of the village folks and his own family. Towards the end of the trailer, the character of Singh's elder daughter is heard telling him that he is her hero but he has to become the action hero now. Then starts the glimpses of action sequences in the film where Boman Irani is seen attacking Singh with full force and crowd. Will the film give voice to women or highlight Ranveer Singh as the saviour of womankind? Only the film can answer the question.

The film has been produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films and directed by Divyang Thakkar. The promotions of the film recently kickstarted with actors of the film industry, such as Anushka Sharma, mentioning the film in their social media posts. The film's release date clashed with that of Shahid Kapoor starrer Jersey so the latter got postponed.

Ranveer Singh was last seen in the film titled 83 which narrated the historic win of India at the cricket World Cup against West Indies. Singh played the role of former Indian team captain Kapil Dev and Dev's wife's role was essayed by actor Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh's real life wife. The film gained praises from the social media users and failed to achieve box office success because of the situation of the pandemic in India. Singh has several other films lined up such as ">Rocky aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani and Cirkus.
