India ke Toofaan: Farhan Akhtar has dropped an inspirational rap song with the spirit of Todun Taak. The song India Ke Toofaan is inspired by the spirit of Mumbai and introduces viewers to the hardships and struggle of what it takes to become a boxer. The song, from akhtar's upcoming sports drama Toofaan features some of India's top boxing talents.

The India Ke Toofaan track, composed by Dub Sharma, pays tribute to boxers from India and their never-say-die attitude. The song also features top female pugulists in the country, such as the world championship gold medalist Laishram Sarita Devi, bronze medalist Kavita Chahal, Sonia Chahal, who is silver Medalist, two-time Youth World Champion Nitu Ghanghas and state champion silver medalist Thulasi Helen.
The song is penned and sung by Rapper D'Evil aks Dhaval Parab. Sharing the song, Akhtar wrote, "Humaara salaam hai un fighters ko, jinko jhukana namumkin hai. Jo apne andar ke toofaan se poori duniya ko himmat dete hai. Ab Uthega… #Toofaan uthega." More about Toofaan here.
The film's trailer opened to positive response and so did the first track, Todun Taak. Talking about the song, the Mumbai-based rapper, D'Evil shared, "The lyrics are inspired from the spirit of Mumbai, a city that never sleeps and a city that gives an ordinary commoner the ability to dare to dream and wings to fly. With this song I tried to bring to the fore the passion of a determined man hailing from the slums but with dreams large enough to touch the skies."
Toofan stars Farhan Akhtar in the lead role along with Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal, Supriya Pathak Kapur, Hussain Dalal, Dr. Mohan Agashe, Darshan Kumaar and Vijay Raaz. Directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Toofaan will start streaming from July 16 on Prime Video. Read all about Toofan film here.
