Ibrahim Ali Khan & Khushi Kapoor Starrer Nadaaniyan To Release On This Date

Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s upcoming romantic drama Nadaaniyan is set to premiere on Netflix, bringing a fresh love story to the screen. On Thursday, February 20, Netflix finally announced the release date for Nadaaniyan. The announcement was made through a special video that left fans excited, featuring a nostalgic reference to the 90s classic Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.

The announcement video features Archana Puran Singh, who reprises her iconic role as Miss Briganza from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. In the clip, Ibrahim and Khushi, playing Arjun and Pia, recreate a memorable classroom scene from the classic film, mirroring Shah Rukh Khan's Rahul and Kajol's Anjali. The duo playfully invites viewers to watch their story unfold on Netflix, adding a fun, nostalgic touch to the reveal.

Nadaaniyan also marks the directorial debut of Shauna Gautam, who previously worked as an assistant director on Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani. 

Here’s What We Know About the Film

A press release from Netflix describes Nadaaniyan as a young adult romantic drama. It captures the excitement and chaos of first love. The film’s synopsis reads, “There’s nothing quite like the exhilaration and unforgettable experience of falling in love for the first time. Netflix is excited to announce Nadaaniyan, a young adult romantic drama that captures the magic, madness, and innocence of first love. At its heart are Piya, a bold and spirited girl from South Delhi, and Arjun, a determined middle-class boy from Noida. As their two completely different worlds collide, they embark on a journey filled with mischief, heart, and the sweet messiness of first love.”

Along with Ibrahim and Khushi, Nadaaniyan also stars well-known actors such as Mahima Chaudhary, Suniel Shetty, Dia Mirza, and Jugal Hansraj. The film is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment.

Ibrahim Ali Khan, the younger son of actors Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, is the latest member of the family to enter the film industry. Ibrahim started his film career as an assistant director in Dharma Productions' Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani in 2023. Nadaaniyan will be his first acting role, and it will be followed by Sarzameen, a film directed by Kayoze Irani, where Ibrahim will star alongside Kajol.
