War 2 Trailer Sees Hrithik Roshan vs Jr NTR In Globetrotting Action Drama

The much-anticipated trailer of Ayan Mukerji's War 2 is finally out. The trailer sees Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR as Indian spies who are on a warpath, battling each other. The film also stars Kiara Advani in an action-combat role. The first trailer of the film has piqued fans' interest and generated immense excitement.

The trailer opens with Roshan and NTR's characters reciting their oaths as Indian soldiers and spies. Hrithik promises to relinquish his identity and claims 'Death before dishonour' for the sake of the nation, while NTR vows to do all that others can't do. The footage hints at a globe-trotting action drama. Hrithik and Jr NTR are involved in aerial combats, apart from having a go at each other on top of trains. The two are also in seen targeting at each other on racing speedboats.

This is the first time Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR have collaborated for a Hindi film. With dialogues from Abbas Tyrewala and a screenplay from Shridhar Raghavan, War 2 is a sequel to the 2019 thriller directed by Siddharth Anand. Pritam has scored the music for the film. War 2 is produced by Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films.

War, also starring Tiger Shroff and Vani Kapoor, was a high-octane action drama that minted ₹200 crores within seven days of its release in 2019. It’s touted to be one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of that year.

War 2 is set to clash at the box office with Coolie, starring Rajinikanth. The Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed film has an ensemble cast, including Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Nagarjuna, Sathyaraj and Shruti Haasan. Check out the War 2 trailer here

All about YRF's spy universe

A sequel to YRF's 2018 hit War, the film sees Hrithik reprise his role as Indian super spy Kabir. The film is a part of the larger YRF Spy Universe, which also includes the Tiger films, Pathaan, as well as the upcoming Alpha. War 2 will release in theatres in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil on August 14.
