1. Priyanka Chopra in Jai Gangaajal ( 2016)

Jai Gangaajal is a 2016 Indian crime drama and the sequel of Gangaajal, which was released in 2003. In this film, Priyanka Chopra takes on the role of a Senior Inspector. Chopra's performance in the film and the way it was presented with glamour made up for some of the criticism it garnered in the eyes of the audience.

2. Tabu in Drishyam ( 2015)

Nishikant Kamat directed Drishyam, a 2015 Indian Hindi-language thriller remake. The film is a remake of the same-titled Malayalam film from 2013. In Drishyam, Tabu gave the most vivid portrayal of a woman police officer in Bollywood. Despite joining the scene at an interval, she was praised for playing her character and emoting through her expressions and body language.

Mardaani is a Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Pradeep Sarkar and produced by Aditya Chopra. It was released in India in 2014. Rani Mukerji appears in the film, which also has Jisshu Sengupta, Tahir Raj Bhasin, and Saanand Verma in supporting parts.

Shivani Shivaji Roy is a policewoman whose investigation into the kidnapping of a teenage girl leads her to find mysteries of human trafficking perpetrated by the Indian mafia.

4. Huma Qureshi in D Day ( 2013)

D-Day is a Hindi-language action thriller film co-produced by DAR Motion Pictures and Emmay Entertainment that was released in India. Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan Khan, Arjun Rampal, Huma Qureshi, and Shruti Haasan feature in the film, which is directed by Nikhil Advani. The film was released to mostly good reviews although the film bombed at the box office, Qureshi received praise for her performance as a cop.

Not only have Hindi films on women cops made an impression on audiences, but so have a few web series about women cops. Shefali Shah in Delhi Crime portrayed Vartika Chaturvedi in the web series, a character based on former Delhi Police DCP Chaya Sharma, who solved the case of the gruesome gang-rape in under 72 hours. Meanwhile, Raveena Tandon in the Aranyak web series was seen as Kasturi Dogra, a cop who teams up with her city-bred replacement Angad (Parambrata Chatterjee) when a foreign adolescent tourist goes missing in a Himalayan town, directed by Vinay Vyakul. Ashutosh Rana also appears in the film.
