The wait is finally over. Fawad Khan is making his long-awaited comeback to Indian cinema with the romantic comedy Abir Gulaal. The actor shared the exciting news on April 1, along with the film's first promo and the official release date, May 9. This marks Fawad's first time sharing the screen with Vaani Kapoor, making their pairing a much-anticipated one.

Abir Gulaal, directed by Aarti S. Bagdi, who is known for her work on Chalti Rahe Zindagi, is set in the beautiful city of London. The story revolves around two individuals who, through helping each other heal, unexpectedly discover love along the way. However, the plot details and trailer are yet to be released. The film also features Lisa Hayden and Ridhi Dogra, along with an international supporting cast from both India and the UK, while the rest of the cast is yet to be revealed.
Produced by Indian Stories, A Richer Lens, and Aarjay Pictures, the film will feature six original songs composed by a top Bollywood music composer, with performances by some of the biggest names in the music industry.
Last year, Fawad Khan, beloved for his roles in Khoobsurat and Kapoor & Sons, made headlines with the announcement of his return to Bollywood with Abir Gulaal. Fans were thrilled to see the actor back on the big screen after a long hiatus. However, the announcement also stirred controversy.
