Chopra also shared that this was not the first time she had faced such a distressing experience. She revealed that she had encountered abuse at the tender age of seven. After confiding in a friend about her childhood trauma, she discovered that her friend had gone through a similar ordeal.

Despite her inner struggles, Chopra decided to share this post. She questioned her own motivations and grappled with various fears, including the concern that people might accuse her of seeking attention or portraying herself as a victim. She reflected on past conversations where some individuals had defended abuse by asking why survivors didn't speak out sooner.

In her concluding remarks, she reiterated her desire to shift the focus towards the important issue at hand and encouraged everyone to engage in a conversation about it.
