Dancer and reality show contestant Dhanashree Verma has spoken up against trolls amid ongoing rumours about her separation from her husband, cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal. On January 8, Dhanashree took to Instagram Stories to express her frustration over the 'character assassination' she has been facing over the last few days.

In her note, Dhanashree expressed the challenges her family has since the divorce speculations. She criticized the "baseless writing" and "character assassination" she has been subjected to by anonymous trolls. "The past few days have been incredibly tough for my family and me. What's truly upsetting is the baseless writing, devoid of fact-checking, and the character assassination of my reputation by faceless trolls spreading hate," she wrote.

Dhanashree emphasised the hard work she has put into building her reputation. She explained that her decision to remain silent should not be seen as a sign of weakness. Instead, she views it as a demonstration of strength and resilience. "I've worked hard for years to build my name and integrity. My silence is not a sign of weakness but of strength. While negativity spreads easily online, it takes courage and compassion to uplift others," she added.

She signed off with "Om Namah Shivaay" and a folded hands emoji. "I choose to focus on my truth and move forward, holding onto my values. The truth stands tall without the need for justification," she concluded.

Dhanashree Verma is a dentist-turned-dancer and choreographer. She gained popularity through her participation in the reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. Dhanashree and Yuzvendra Chahal got engaged on August 8, 2020, and tied the knot on December 22, 2020, in a private ceremony in Gurgaon.

Speculation about their separation began last week when fans noticed that the couple had unfollowed each other on Instagram. This led to widespread rumours and reports suggesting that the couple might be heading for a divorce. However, both Dhanashree and Chahal have largely remained silent on the matter, except for a few cryptic social media posts. Even in her recent statement, Dhanashree did not directly address the rumours of separation or divorce.
