The inaugural guests of the latest season of Koffee With Karan were Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, and they shared video clips from their wedding.
After nearly five years since their wedding in Italy, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have at last unveiled their wedding video. They made their debut on the eighth season of the popular talk show Koffee With Karan and delighted both the host, Karan Johar, and their admirers by sharing never-before-seen footage from their beautiful wedding.
Before showing the video, Singh recounted the story of how he proposed to Padukone in the Maldives, and they immediately travelled to Bengaluru to inform her parents about their engagement. Initially, her mother wasn't very enthusiastic about her choice of Singh, but gradually, he won her over.

The wedding footage begins with Singh expressing his love for Padukone at their engagement party. Padukone’s father, Prakash Padukone, a former badminton champion, affectionately mentions how Ranveer has brought excitement and a touch of eccentricity to their otherwise 'boring' family of four.
The video includes clips of Singh dancing at their mehendi celebration by the lake, Padukone being adorned with jewellery as she prepares for the wedding, the exchange of vows at the mandap, their Anand Karaj ceremony, and Singh’s desire to meet Padukone before the wedding simply to express his love for her.
After watching the video, Johar became emotional and teary-eyed. Singh and Padukone comforted him with hugs and kisses. Johar expressed his happiness at witnessing the love they share but also shared his yearning for a partner to share life's small moments with, despite having the love of his mother and children. Padukone reassured him that he would find the right person at the appropriate time. She also emphasised the importance of finding the right partner instead of rushing into a marriage that might lead to regret, suggesting that being single can be a better alternative.
