The Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2024 took place in Mumbai on February 20, attracting a star-studded gathering of celebrities from the film and television industry. Among the notable attendees were Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor, Vikrant Massey, Nayanthara, Shahid Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga, among others.

The event showcased exemplary talent across various categories, with Shah Rukh Khan clinching the coveted title of Best Actor for his stellar performance in Jawan. Khan expressed his gratitude towards the jury members who deemed him worthy of the Best Actor award, stating, "I have not received the Best Actor Award in a long time. It seemed as if I would not get it again. I am extremely happy." He further added, "I like awards. I am a bit greedy. Vidhu Vinod Chopra likes it more than me. We will share it, Vinod (Chopra)."

While Nayanthara and Rani Mukerji bagged the awards for Best Actress for their outstanding roles in the Jawan and Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway, respectively. In the web series domain, Karishma Tanna was lauded for her exceptional acting prowess in Scoop, earning her the award for Best Actress.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga was honoured with the Best Director award for his remarkable work in the film Animal, while Vicky Kaushal received critical acclaim for his role in Sam Bahadur, earning him the title of Best Actor (Critics). Bobby Deol's compelling portrayal of a negative character in Animal earned him the recognition for Best Actor in a Negative Role.

In the television category, Rupali Ganguly and Neil Bhatt were celebrated for their outstanding performances in Anupamaa and Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, respectively. The latter also secured the title of Television Series of the Year.

Additionally, Moushumi Chatterjee and KJ Yesudas were honoured for their outstanding contributions to the film and music industries, respectively, receiving the awards for Outstanding Contribution to the Film Industry and Outstanding Contribution to the Music Industry.  Anirudh Ravichander's exceptional music composition in Jawan earned him the Best Music Director accolade, while Varun Jain's soulful rendition of Tere Vaste from Zara Hatke Zara Bachke secured him the Best Playback Singer (Male) award.
