Shows And Movie Release During Christmas 2021 That You Cannot Miss

Christmas Movies 2021: Christmas time is undoubtedly the best time of the year when you just want to snuggle up that warm blanket, or take a trip to your favourite holiday spot, and watch all those movies that have been pending on your list ever since.

As an ode to the Christmas season, let's look at the movies that you cannot miss to watch.

Releases During Christmas 2021-

1. Atrangi Re

The movie by Anand L Rai will be available for viewing on OTT platform Hotstar from 24th December. It stars Sara Ali Khan, Dhanush, Akshay Kumar in the main roles. The musical romantic drama is about a girl from Bihar who meets a Tamil boy and gets married out of her will. With time, they get attached but then comes the girl's ex and she gets confused about whom to choose.

Sara eventually asks - ek larki ko dono larke mil jayenge, to kya aafat aajaegi(what is the problem in a girl having more than two boys) . The song "chaka chak" by Shreya Ghoshal composed by AR Rehman has already become nation's favourite dance number.

2. 83

83 brings to life the victorious moments from the Lord's Cricket Ground where India won the World Cup defeating two times champion West Indies under the captainship of Kapil Dev. The movie has been produced by Deepika Padukone where she also plays the role of Kapil Dev's wife -Romi Dev. It will be available in five languages- Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and has released in theatres on December 24, 2021.

The trailer itself made a special place in the heart of the audience and fans could not believe the uncanny resemblance of looks and accent of Kapil Dev by Ranveer Singh in the movie. The movie also stars Tahir Bhasin, Chirag Patil, Saqib Salim among others as members of Team India during the 1983 World Cup.

3. Emily in Paris

Season 2 of Emily in Paris is out and is a perfect treat for Christmas. What's better than sleeping in the cosiness of your room and watching some amazing scenes from Paris. The new season shows how Emily starts feeling better about the new city which was a mess for her since she last moved in.

Lily Collins a.k.a Emily Cooper is a visual treat for the impeccable fashion sense in the series. Her dresses have become a style statement and many Instagram influencers are recreation for their followers who want to have a look exactly like that of Emily.

4. Jersey 

Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur's Jersey will be released on December 31, 2021. Shahid is shown to be a former cricketer who has left his cricketing career. He tries to meet his ends and fulfil the wishes of his child who wants a Jersey as a present on his birthday. The clash with his wife over finances gets too frequent and he has to choose between cricket and family. Pankaj Kapoor will be playing a coach to Shahid Kapoor in Allu Aravind's movie. 5. Encanto

The animated movie has been released on the OTT platform Hotstar this week and is a Christmas delight to all Disney fans. The movie directed by Byron Howard and Jared Bush has already made a theatrical release in November. Encanto is a charming place hidden in the mountains of Colombia. The Madrigals family inhabit the place which has blessed every child in the family with a magical and unique gift, except the main character Mirabel. However, she soon discovers that she might need to put a brave front to save the magical power of her family from an impending threat.
