Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur Starring Jersey's Cast, Release Date And Where To Watch

Jersey cast: Upcoming sports drama Jersey starring Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur will be hitting cinema theatres soon. Shahid Kapoor will be seen playing the role of a cricketer in the movie. Thakur, on the other hand, will be playing the main lead actress opposite Kapoor. Pankaj Kapur, Ronit Kamra and Geetika Mehandru are also a part of the movie.

The film has been directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. He has written the film as well. The movie revolves around the life of a 36 year old  unemployed man who aspires to join the cricket team after his son demands the jersey. The movie has been bankrolled by Allu Aravind along with Suryadevara Naga Vamsi, Aman Gill, and Dil Raju.

As per reports, Shahid got 18 stitches during a a particular scene but recovered soon, as per a report.

It has got 54,428,742 views so far. "Shahid looks Incredible in promos. Good Luck To Jersey team. 👍👍", a user commented. Another one was doubtful if this remake of the old Telugu film would be as successful as that one.

Jersey will release on theatres on 31 December, 2021.

Will Jersey release on OTT?

As per reports, Jersey’s post-theatrical rights have been acquired by the leading streaming platform Netflix but it will stream on this OTT platform 4 weeks after its theatrical release. So, netizens can expect the movie out on Netflix on 28 - 30 January, 2021.
