Jayam Ravi, Krithi Shetty, Wamiqa Gabbi To Star In 'Genie'

Actor Jayam Ravi's career received a significant boost with his role in Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan, and now he has secured another major project titled Genie. Joining him in the star-studded cast are actors Krithi Shetty, Wamiqa Gabbi, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Devayani.

The launch event for Genie took place in Chennai, with the entire cast and crew in attendance. This film marks the 25th project by Vels International, and the production company aims to create a grand cinematic experience, as stated in the official press release. 

Genie is set to be Jayam Ravi's most ambitious project to date, following his success with Ponniyin Selvan. Vels International, known for producing films like Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu starring Silambarasan, is producing the film. Renowned composer AR Rahman, who previously collaborated with Jayam Ravi on PS 1 and 2, will be joining forces with him once again for Genie.

Yanick Ben, a popular Hollywood and international stunt choreographer, has been brought on board for the action sequences. The cinematography will be handled by Mahesh Muthusamy, with editing by Pradeep E. Raghav.

Genie is slated for release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Additionally, Jayam Ravi has other upcoming projects in the pipeline, including Iraivan, Siren, and an untitled film with Krithika Udhayanidhi.

Female Cast Of Genie

Notably, the film boasts a talented ensemble of female actors, including Krithi Shetty, Wamiqa Gabbi, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Devayani. Wamiqa Gabbi, known for her outstanding performances in Punjabi and Telugu cinema, has showcased her talent in films like Nikka Zaildar, Parahuna, and Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam. Joining the cast is Krithi Shetty, who has made a mark in the Telugu film industry with notable movies such as Uppena and Shyam Singha Roy. Kalyani Priyadarshan, another talented actor, has delivered impressive performances in films like Hello and Ranarangam.

Together, these talented actors will form a captivating ensemble, elevating the on-screen experience of Genie and creating a synergy that promises to enthral audiences with their collective talent and engaging performances.
