Bob's Burgers Fame Jenny Slate To Star In Amazon Studio's 'I Want You Back'

Jenny Slate is known for lending her voice to many popular characters in many movies and series like Zootopia, Bob's Burgers, The Secret Life of Pets and The Lego Batman Movie.

Amazon Studios has started production on I Want You Back, an original romantic comedy movie to be directed by Jason Orley of Big Time Adolescence fame. It has been written by the writers and producers of the popular dramas Love, Simon and This Is Us respectively, Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger.

The upcoming show under production will have an ensemble cast, starring popular actors like Jenny Slate, Charlie Day, Gina Rodriguez, Scott Eastwood, Manny Jacinto and Clark Backo. Furthermore, Jami Gertz, Jordan Carlos, Midori Francis, Mason Gooding, Isabel May and Luke David Blumm will also appear in the film. The shoot will reportedly start from next month onwards in Atlanta.

According to sources, Jenny and Slate will portray the roles of two persons, dumped by their respective partners, who plan to win their exes back, who are already in new relationships.

Director Jason Orley told in an interview that he couldn't wait to start shooting for the movie. “I immediately fell in love with Isaac and Elizabeth’s funny, heartfelt script. I am so honoured that they, along with the amazing team at Amazon are allowing me to bring their timeless love story to life, and that I get to do it with such an incredible group of actors," he added.

The producers also stated, "We have assembled a phenomenally talented cast of comedy all-stars and have the wonderful Jason Orley at the helm to tell this story of passion, heartbreak, and the lengths people will go to in the name of true love.”
