Bigg Boss 14: All You Need To Know About Contestant Sara Gurpal

Sara Gurpal, a Punjabi star, is yet another female contestant on Bigg Boss 14. After quite a memorable performance by the Punjabi actor-singer Shehnaaz Kaur Gill in Bigg Boss house last season, fans are expecting a lot from her this year.

Recently, Gurpal was caught in a controversy when the Punjabi singer Tushar Kumar claimed that the actress married him in 2014. Kumar said that Gurpal lied about being single during the premiere of Bigg Boss 14. Kumar also added that she just got married to him for US citizenship and fame. "She left me because she didn’t get any publicity from my side," he said.

Early life and Career

Hailing from Ratia (near Fatehabad) Haryana, Gurpal started as a fashion designer. Her career in the world of entertainment started with music videos. Gurpal's debut song was 'Paranda' by singer Simranjeet Singh which came out in 2014. Later, she worked with several famous Punjabi singers like Resham Singh Anmol, Ammy Virk, Dilpreet Dhillon, Happy Raikoti, Ranjit Bawa among others.

Sara Gurpal debuted as the singer in 2016 with her song 'Lagdi Att'. Towards the end of 2017, Gurpal released the song 'Slow Motion', which was an instant hit, garnering over 6.5 million views on YouTube. Her latest song 'Tu Chahida' is quite popular among netizens, with a whopping 6.2 million views.

Gurpal stepped into the Punjabi film industry with movies like Dangar Doctor Jelly and Manje Bistre in 2017. Her performance in songs like is Jean, Bullet vs Chammak Challo, 7 Knaalan, Ford vs Ford, Jatt Di Queen are popular among Punjabi music fans.

Gurpal to keep up to the mark of Shehnaaz Gill

Bigg Boss 13 had other Punjabi actors like Himanshi Khurana and Shehnaaz Gill, who grabbed a lot of eyeballs with their antics. Gill emerged as the second runner-up, winning a lot of hearts. Fans are expecting a lot from Gurpal this season.
