Pavitra Punia, who is popular for playing the role of Timnasa in Baalveer Returns is one of the contenders in the Bigg Boss house this season. Her real name is Neha Singh but she is better known by her stage name Pavitra Punia.
Recently, Punia came into controversy after she slammed her ex-boyfriend and Bigg Boss 13 contestant Paras Chhabra, saying he should not enter Bigg Boss 14 "if he has even a bit of self-respect and sense left." Chabbra's close friend Mahira Sharma, also a contestant in the last season of Bigg Boss, came out in his defence.
In an ">interview with The Indian Express, Punia said that she'd start crying if host Salman Khan scolds her. Punia's reality television stint, however, started in 2009 with MTV Splitsvilla 3, where she emerged as a finalist. She also participated in MTV's Making The Cut 2. Jee Le Ye Pal also had her as a participant in 2011. She participated in Welcome – Baazi Mehmaan Nawazi Ki and Box Cricket League 1,2,3 and 4 as well. Now, finally, in 2020, she has landed as a participant in Bigg Boss 14.
Early life and Career
Punia was born in in 1986 in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh as Neha Singh. She holds a diploma in Hospitality & Aviation. Initially, she aspired to become an IPS officer but ended up as a participant in MTV's reality show Splitsvilla 3. This marked the beginning of her career in the television industry.

Punia's acting debut was a cameo role of Dalljiet in 2010 in the series Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi. She secured her first lead role in Love U Zindagi opposite Sidharth Shukla, who is also one of the seniors in Bigg Boss 14.

Some of the other shows she has been part of are Sawaare Sabke Sapne, Honge Judaa Naa, Darr Sabko Lagta Hai, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Kavach... Kaali Shaktiyon, Gangaa, Sasural Simar, Roop - Mard Ka Naya Swaroop, Naagin 3, Daayan, Baalveer, Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga, Kuch Smiles Ho Jayein... With Alia, among others.
